Sea of Smiles as Young Learners Encounter Marine Wonders

The Guardian Angel and Marine Trust, spearheaded by a dedicated team of conservationists, inspires positivity and potential for South Africa's youth.
To date, the recently launched GAWM Trust has hosted two outings to the Two Oceans Aquarium in Cape Town, for pre-schoolers from an impoverished area in the Western Cape.

This fun-while-learning experience motivated the learners to become familiar with the beauty and bounty within our Oceans. Says the GAWM Trust’s

Tracy Kohler, “The children absolutely loved the outing, the goodies and the aquarium! They were so well-behaved and appreciative of everything!

It was a well-organised and just super morning!”

These Aquarium initiatives have demonstrated the Trust's commitment to conservation and youth empowerment. With your continued support, it can achieve even more to protect, restore and replenish South Africa's natural bounty – primarily through educating and enlightening our youth.

The letter of gratitude he received from Ms Pumela Siwazi, the Administrator of the school, bears testimony to what this outing meant to the young learners at the school:

This letter was followed by a text message:

“Thank you Raymond, can't do this without help from great leaders such as yourselves.”

And thanks to the close and continued friendships that he forged in his travels through Africa over the years, Raymond is able to bring on board many influential and pivotal players on the sub-Saharan African landscape as he consolidates and grows the Guardian Angel and Marine Trust.

The GAWM Trust is Raymond taking yet a bigger, bolder step in his mission to re-engage the people of southern Africa with their  heartlands and their heritage.

Raymond and the GAWM Trust have undertaken to garner all the positive forces that they can in their efforts to re-energize nature, wildlife and marine conservation – from preschoolers to Presidents and from flora to fauna to the fish in the sea.
